I too received the strange letter from the Federal AMA last month which advised all West Australian AMA members that we had been dismembered.

As they say on the Federal AMA website, there is currently “no avenue for WA doctors to be ordinary members of Federal AMA”.

Very strange, but even stranger was that the email to me seemed to be signed by, among others, me.

Being a well-known AMA figure here in the western third of the continent, it was immediately assumed by many colleagues that the co-signatory “Andrew Miller” was yours truly.
