I’m mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this anymore

It’s election time, and ‘I’m mad as hell’ (see below video) about the state of our specialty at the hands of successive governments.
It’s so bad that recruitment into general practice is declining, and more and more of the graduates who do enter now develop ‘portfolio’ careers — a few sessions a week as a GP, a session or two in a skin clinic, some hospital sessions (especially in ED) and perhaps some part-time surgical assisting too.
Why? Well, despite the superb training they get from their GP supervisors, they’re influenced by what they see current general practice to be really like.
And they don’t like what they see.
