Alarm clock

The topic of daylight saving, for most Australians, evokes the ritual of moving the clock one hour ahead to capture the joy of light-filled summer evenings, only to go back an hour when the days start to chill.

The health consequences have rarely been debated — even in Queensland and WA, where opposition to changing the clocks resulted in referenda mandating the respective governments to return to permanent standard time.
