The Kafkaesque world of a locum in lockdown

A GP obstetrician recounts her recent experience travelling interstate during COVID restrictions
Dr Vivienne Tedeschi.

OKAY. I get it. I’m one of the fortunate ones.

I’ve survived the COVID lockdowns better than most.

Living in a rural NSW town which has yet to experience a single case of the dreaded virus, I’ve only been locked down for a few weeks.

As a GP obstetrician who locums around Australia, my income has not been affected. I live in a beautiful part of the world where the restriction on visitors goes by unnoticed, apart from my children, who I miss dreadfully.
