Lessons from Narnia: If GPs reach for the impossible, they’ll move mountains
When I was five, I wanted to be Aslan, the kind, selfless king of Narnia.
He was a talking lion who befriended a group of children who ventured too far into the back of a wardrobe one day and ended up in a magical world.
As the years passed, I came to realise that lions couldn’t talk and closets didn’t swallow you up and spit you out into fantastical realms. My dream to be Aslan faded as reality set in.
However, although I never became a talking lion in a faraway land, how interesting is it that I ended up in a profession that is rooted in values of kindness and selflessness?
