My GP workday never seems to end – it’s invading my home

Wrapping up a busy morning clinic, I frantically dash for the door without managing to finish all my clinical work.
After my relatively calm five-minute commute, I face a hungry toddler, an impending school run and the long sprint until bedtime.
Hopefully by 9pm, I can finally log in remotely and complete what I couldn’t when the patient was with me.
But, even when I get the time to wind down and relax, I get a sense of dread that I must complete all my work before midnight, and I worry where my life is heading.
