Generic drug makers in countries like India and China are selling substandard medications all over the world, faking data and internal documents to do so, according to a US journalist.

Katherine Eban says she started to look into the issue after a pharmacologist told her his patients complained their generic medications were causing unwelcome side effects and disease relapses.
