I had a run-in with a red-bellied black snake in the backyard this weekend.

Then on Monday morning, a kangaroo jumped into the car on the drive to work. Thankfully it hopped away, but damage was done.

On Tuesday, I had a patient with Entamoeba histolytica ulcerative colitis, potentially from her tank water. Like me, she is not connected to town sewage.

However, I’m not a rural or remote GP. I work in a modified Monash 1 classified capital city, in an outer metro suburb.
