No, I’m not about to operate! But as a GP my mask and scrubs are here to stay

Not so long ago, in just 2019,
all our lives had such a different meaning.
We’d get on a train, consider a plane, or might just stick with the bus,
poor infectious hygiene measures exhibited by most, who couldn’t give a toss.
Sneezing into their bare hand with all their might,
then sharing the handrail you share, ever so tight.
Then COVID came along, and lockdowns became the norm,
people waited what felt an eternity, for “normality” to be reborn.
