Real Case: My patient's sore knees were the barometer of something more sinister
Some consults stick with you forever. This was one of them.
A new patient came to see me. She said she had a regular GP but felt that he wasn’t taking her problem seriously enough. That was why she was seeking my advice.
Already I was feeling apprehensive. I knew the GP she attended was very conscientious, so I was wary that I would probably be a disappointment to her as well.
She presented with excruciatingly sore knees, much worse when she got down on them to play with her grandchildren.
She had not sustained any trauma.
