Are parents really intent on persuading GPs to prescribe antibiotics, even if they’re not indicated, when they bring their children in with respiratory infections?

Since antibiotic prescribing rates for such infections in Australia are currently up to nine times higher than expected if guidelines were followed, it’s a fair, if contentious, question to ask. And it’s one that new research will help to answer.
