Should a doctor with autism be allowed to treat patients?

Dr Arlene Taylor is currently fighting conditions imposed by the Medical Board of Australia that she should have no “direct or indirect clinical patient contact”.

She has experienced serious depressive episodes and made numerous suicide attempts throughout her life. She has also been diagnosed with autism, as well as borderline personality disorder, the latter a diagnosis she and her current psychiatrist reject.
