So why are there no female GPs in the Australia Day Honours?

The results are stark: this year there are apparently no female GPs who are deserving of recognition on Australia Day.

And even among non-GP specialists, 31 got awards, but just six were women, less than one-fifth the total.

Does that really reflect the contribution that women in medicine make to our society?

I don’t think so.
