We’re all sick of COVID-19, but patients still need boosters

In between the Delta and Omicron waves last year, I was talking to a friend in New York about COVID-19.
I asked him how things were going there – were people wearing masks, how did everyone approach the virus?
His response was brief but prescient: “Oh, COVID-19. No one talks about that here anymore.”
Understandably, after the horrid peak of the Omicron wave, no one wants to talk about coronavirus anymore here now either.
