The Medical Board of Australia is considering the introduction of a compulsory ‘self-reflection’ exercise for accreditation purposes. As such, I have started my own self-reflection.

In December, I had a few thoughts.

Now, I have decided to consider what I have learnt over the years, where I learnt it and whether any of it has benefited my patients.

These questions remind me of the confusion that hit me as an intern, way back in 1968.
