When medicine goes to the dogs, patients often get better

During the break from exams at medical school, we used to go to a comedy movie.

In 1968, the movie we liked was The Party, starring Peter Sellers as a hapless actor who is accidentally invited to a Hollywood shindig, hosted by a studio head, where he creates chaos.

I was reminded of another of Sellers’ movies, The Pink Panther Strikes Again, after reading about a dog attack that left two people injured.

In the movie, Sellers’ character Inspector Clouseau spots a dog in a hotel lobby and asks the proprietor behind the desk: “Does your dog bite?”
