Will your practice survive post COVID-19?

March 27 was the day booking numbers fell off a cliff in our practice in the ACT.

One day, patients were booking in as normal and the next the appointment book was empty.

There was a general sense of panic amongst several of our GPs as they pondered: “Am I destined to catch COVID-19? Will there be a tsunami of infection? Will I need a double lung transplant? How will I pay my mortgage? How are we going to keep the doors open?”

Some GPs seemed resigned to catching coronavirus and were relatively laid back.
