WHEN I started in practice 35 years ago, we had carbonised sheets of paper that recorded the patient receipt, bank deposit and updated the account book all at the same time. We thought it was quite clever and saved lots of time.

Now the majority of our new patients come to us from the web. They’ve looked us up online, they book appointments online and I envisage them getting pathology results online in the near future.
