Review: Technology - Fitbit activity and wellness tracking system

An activity and wellness tracking system, Fitbit uses three tools to monitor weight loss: the Ultra Wireless Activity + Sleep Tracker (pictured, left), the Aria Wi-Fi Smart Scale (pictured, right), and Fitbit.com, where the results are stored and accessed online and via iPhone and Android apps.

The Tracker measures steps taken, calories burned, distance travelled and even stairs climbed. At night, it monitors how long and how well people sleep. The Smart Scale calculates the percentage of body fat and BMI, then uploads this information to Fitbit.com.
