Almost all O&Gs back mandatory termination training

Nine in 10 obstetrician and gynaecologist doctors and trainees believe education on induced termination should be part of training and that abortion services should be provided through the public healthcare system, according to a survey.
The online questionnaire was completed by 632 fellows and trainees of RANZCOG.
The majority of both male (91%) and female (93%) respondents said they thought induced abortion should be available (within the limits of state law) in the public health systems of all Australian states and territories.
Similar numbers said it should be included in the RANZCOG curriculum for diploma and membership qualifications.
