Women who conceive through assisted reproductive technologies may be at increased risk for vascular and pregnancy-related complications, according to an international study.

The findings highlight the importance of counselling women who are considering IVF or other assisted reproductive technology (ART) about the evidence on complications, particularly those with existing cardiovascular risk factors, the UK and North American researchers say.
