RACP members reject call to sack next president

The attempt by a mysterious group of doctors to sack the incoming president of the RACP has failed.
During an extraordinary general meeting last week, college members were asked to remove Professor John Wilson, a Melbourne respiratory physician, from the college board, along with two other directors, Professor Paul Komesaroff and Dr Jacqueline Small.
The trio, from a self-styled college reform group, faced no specific allegations of misconduct — nor was there an explanation as to why they have been singled out from the college’s other board directors.
But the members overwhelming rejected the attempted purge (see results below).
