Three drinks per week ‘cuts odds of conception’

Having as few as three alcoholic drinks a week makes it harder for a woman to conceive, a study suggests.
Three or more drinks a week consumed during the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle or more than six weekly drinks during the ovulatory window affects fecundability, the US researchers say.
Data from 413 women aged 19-41 years was used in the study.
All completed daily diaries of alcohol intake and submitted monthly urine samples for pregnancy tests.
