AusDoc brings you the latest news from the European Respiratory Society Congress 2020.

Two out of five people hospitalised for COVID-19 might still be breathless three months after discharge, an Austrian study suggests.

Doctors tracked the lung function of 86 people who were admitted for the infection at three hospitals in a hotspot in the Tyrol region between 29 April and 9 June.

The mean age of the patients was 61 years and 65% were male while nearly half of them were current or former smokers and 65% were overweight or obese, delegates to the European Respiratory Society international virtual congress (ERS 2020) were told this week.
