Controversy continues to surround the consumption of hens’ eggs despite a body of evidence dispelling many of the prevailing myths, particularly about cardiovascular health.
As far back as 2013, a large meta-analysis published in the BMJ concluded that daily egg intake was not associated with increased risk of coronary heart disease or stroke. The results from this study and others like it have since been used to inform public health messages around egg consumption.
