<p>Zoe is a four-year-old whose parents bring her in for review of a lesion in the left eye.</p><p>A lesion has been visible in this area since infancy and was reviewed by an optometrist, who said it was benign. However, Zoe is increasingly bothered by the lesion, frequently eye-rubbing because of the “itchy eye”, and her parents do not like the appearance of the lesion, which has enlarged over time.</p><p>There are no other symptoms of concern, growth and development are normal and visual acuity is unaffected.</p><p>On examination, there is an elevated, non-tender whitish lesion at the inferotemporal limbus (pictured).</p><p>Ocular examination is otherwise unremarkable as is systems examination.</p>
