<p>Tai is a four-year-old boy who presents with annular erythema on his nose.</p><p>The lesion had begun as a small, itchy macule 10 days earlier.</p><p>He has a background of eczema, so his parents, suspecting the same, have been using a mild topical steroid.</p><p>While he seems to be less bothered by the itch, the lesion is enlarging.</p><p>Tai is otherwise well, with no past history of note apart from flexural eczema, usually responsive to mild corticosteroids.</p><p>There is no history of injury or insect bite. He lives with his parents, older brother and two cats.</p><p>On examination, vital signs are normal. There is a 1cm x 1cm annular erythematous lesion on his nose (pictured), with otherwise normal dermatological examination.</p>
