Relaxing the Maharishi way

When Indian guru, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi introduced transcendental meditation to the Western world in the 60s, it was pretty much just the hippies and the new age spiritualists who were quick on the uptake while the rest of us tended to dismiss his teachings as bohemian nonsense.

Yet, transcendental meditation or TM as it’s known, has recently attracted some big research dollars resulting in hundreds of peer-reviewed scientific studies indicating TM may be anything but quackery.

So, with bizarre claims of levitation and yogic flying aside, TM is starting to gain recognition in the medical world
