AHPRA denies targeting Lyme-treating doctors

AHPRA has denied "targeting" medical practitioners who diagnose and treat Lyme–like disease and defended its role in protecting patients against unsafe practices and financial exploitation.

Associate Professor Stephen Bradshaw, a practitioner member of AHPRA and the Medical Board of Australia (MBA), says there is a perception by some patients that the two bodies are targeting doctors treating Lyme.

“I would like to put it quite clearly on the record that this is not true,” he told a public hearing
