Being ‘foreign’ no excuse: GP cautioned

THE NSW Medical Professional Standards Committee has rejected a GP’s explanation that he couldn’t comply with a supervision order because he was foreign-trained, new to Australia and had limited contacts.

Under registration conditions imposed in June 2011, Dr Kim Hock Liaw was given two months to name an experienced GP with whom he would spend six sessions as an observer and four sessions being observed.
