Charities wearing rose-coloured glasses: study

THEY examined online information provided by eight UK charities, finding six of them endorsed the use of tinted lenses despite a lack of scientific evidence for the intervention.

This contrasted with information made available by overseas charities, including one from Australia, which provided links to websites which took a more sceptical view, including classifying the use of colour for dyslexia as alternative medicine.

The public in the UK would have difficulty making an informed choice about the lenses, they said.
