Chlamydia: Confusion on partner notification

The findings, presented today at the Australasian Sexual Health Conference, were collected as part of the Australian Chlamydia Control Effectiveness Pilot (ACCEPt).

According to one of the researchers, Alaina Vaisey from the University of Melbourne school of population and global health, the finding suggests that GPs are uncertain of their role. 

“The term that’s now used is partner notification and because chlamydia is a notifiable disease it makes sense that there could be some
