A ‘first’ for integrative medicine in New Zealand
GPs and alternative health practitioners in New Zealand have set up a website where patients can find both complementary therapists and doctors.
The website was developed by the Integrative Health Trust Otago, a group of complementary medicine practitioners, specialists, primary care doctors, and academics. Spokesperson Dr Monika Clarke-Grill, lecturer in general practice at the University of Otago, said the website could help consumers make informed choices.
Practitioners on the site offer chakratherapy, Bach flower essences, colon hydrotherapy, shamanism, Reiki, Pilates, yoga – and general practice.
