Forensics shed light on Richard III’s trauma

The monarch’s skeleton, discovered under a car park two years ago, was identified as Richard by a multidisciplinary team from the University of Leicester.

Now forensic pathologists from the university have put his bones through whole-body CT scans and other imaging to analyse the trauma he incurred during the Battle of Bosworth Field in 1485.

The scientists confirmed the skeleton had severe scoliosis of the thoracic spine
