GPs split over strategies to fight drugs

A national survey by Cegedim, on behalf of Medical Observer, found 60% were yet to be convinced the ‘war on drugs’ had been lost, while 40% believed the fight had failed.

More than half (56%) of 151 respondents meanwhile called for greater money to be spent on treatment of addiction with the same number calling for an increase in policing the problem.
