He shouldn’t be alive
When he was first diagnosed with a very aggressive form of prostate cancer, John and his wife, Anne, were in absolute disbelief. John was only 49 years old and had always been in perfect health. He had been a pastor for more than 20 years, pioneering a church on the outskirts of a large city.
It was extremely hard to have to gather their three sons and tell them the devastating news. They had always been a close family and this drew them even closer. John and Anne read all they could on advanced prostate cancer. None of it was encouraging.
The urologist was sympathetic, but offered no hope of a cure
