Here’s proof we love a deep, low-pitched, manly voice

Researchers from the UK and Germany asked 16 men and 16 women to listen to acoustically altered natural sentences and fully synthetic sentences and rate their attractiveness.

Male listeners, aged 23–25 on average, rated a female voice more attractive as it became more breathy and increased in pitch.

Female listeners, aged 22 on average, judged a male speaker more attractive as pitch moved downwards, but attractiveness also increased with breathiness,
