IMG takes fight over failed college exam to Supreme Court — and wins
NEWS IN BRIEF
An IMG registrar who failed a make-or-break fellowship exam four days after being told her father was dying of cancer has won a legal battle forcing RANZCOG to reconsider her exceptional circumstances.
The college removes candidates from its training program if they fail four oral exams or do not finish training within eight years.
Dr Yvette Lukac, from Sydney, fell foul of both rules after failing her last oral exam before the deadline expired. She had already had the eight-year deadline extended twice.
