Obese man who sued GP to appeal
Luis Almario made headlines earlier this year when he was awarded $364,000 after he claimed his Sydney-based GP, Dr Emmanuel Varipatis, was negligent because he did not refer him for bariatric surgery or to a weight loss clinic.
He claimed the complications of his obesity led to liver cancer.
