Psychiatrist clean for two years but still not enough

Dr Kim John Street admitted he was impaired by the addiction in 2002–12 when he worked mostly as a solo practitioner in Swansea, north of Sydney.

At the height of his dependency, in 2004–06, he was taking up to 75 5mg tablets of dexamphetamine per day, divided into three doses.

The NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal was told Dr Street’s dexamphetamine use had begun when the drug was prescribed by a treating doctor for a legitimate therapeutic indication.
