Radical Aussie drug company to route profits to patients
A NEW philanthropic drug company that will put all profits back into research and patient support is being launched today with two generics.
The ‘social enterprise’ company, For Benefit Medicines (FBM), which claims to be the first such company in Australia, will be taking drugs with lapsed patents and will market generic versions of them.
Starting in the breast cancer area, FBM will sell two aromatase inhibitors, anastrozole and letrozole, marketed with the FBM suffix. Profits
