Sydney GP deregistered for professional misconduct with staff member

The NSW Health Care Complaints Commission prosecuted Dr Kiro Ristevski, alleging he had breached appropriate doctor patient-boundaries when in 2003 he entered into a personal and sexual relationship with an employee who he later treated as a patient.

The tribunal heard that during the almost six-year relationship, Dr Ristevski had continued to see the woman as a patient but after three years had ceased keeping records of the consultations “making no note of her histories or of the various referrals that he gave her”.
