WHEN Bundaberg GP Dr Patrick Byrnes was awarded the Medical Observer/GPET GP Supervisor of the Year title in 2007, he was humbled by the calibre of his fellow nominees.

The honour was a highlight in Dr Byrnes’ medical career, but recognition or money is not what compels him to supervise GP registrars.
