Tidiness stifles creativity

Researchers from the University of Minnesota conducted three studies in orderly and disorderly rooms with more than 200 American and European subjects.

The first experiment showed participants who completed a questionnaire in an orderly room donated an average of €3.19 ($4.70) each to charity compared with only €1.29 ($1.90) donated by those in the disorderly room. Overall, 82% and 47% of participants from each room donated some money, respectively.
