Binge drinking campaigns should focus on why and how

The best way to encourage young people to drink responsibly is to focus on the advantages and achievability rather than on the dangers, say UK researchers.

Benefits that can be emphasised include saving money and better health, write Dr Dominic Conroy and colleagues in the British Journal of Health Psychology.
