Dogs good at detecting cancer
Dogs have a 98% reliability rate in sniffing out prostate cancer, according to US research.
The study involved two German shepherds sniffing the urine of 900 men - 360 with prostate cancer and 540 without.
Scientists report one dog one got it right in 98.7% of cases and the other in 97.6%.
They say the dogs are able to detect prostate cancer's specific volatile organic compounds in the urine.
