GP surgeries seen as potential terrorist targets

The UK police counter-terrorism unit has issued an alert to hospitals and GP surgeries to be vigilant for unusual or suspicious behaviour or items on their premises.

In an updated ‘crowded places’ guidance, the document warns that terrorist attacks on healthcare facilities “may be enabled by an ‘insider’ or by someone with specialist knowledge or access to your venue”.
