Practice closed over patient safety concerns

A London-based general practice has been forced to close due to "serious concerns" about poor management and patient safety.

The UK healthcare regulator, Care Quality Commission, has suspended the south London practice of Dr Mujib ul Haq Khan for four months. This is the first time the regulator has enforced its power against a GP.

NHS England has temporarily distributed the 790 patients of the surgery among other local practices.

According to a report in The BMJ, the tribunal found
