Betrayal of the Hippocratic oath? I was still working while isolating with COVID-19

A GP who has been treating respiratory patients remotely while dealing with his own COVID-19 infection says governments should be supporting GPs with PPE supplies rather than blaming them for the hospital crisis.
It follows WA Premier Mark McGowan’s outburst accusing GPs of breaking their Hippocratic oath by not letting patients with respiratory symptoms into their practices.
“You can go to a GP surgery, and there’s a sign on the door, ‘If you have a respiratory illness, don’t come in,’” he said.
Dr Sean Stevens learnt about the Premier’s comments at 10pm on Friday after doing an eight-hour session at his GP practice, followed by a four-hour session at the respiratory clinic he runs.
