Clive Palmer offers to pay for touted treatment as Australian cases climb
As the number of Australian cases pushed past 1700, billionaire and former member of parliament Clive Palmer offered millions of dollars to pay for a touted coronavirus treatment.
The former federal MP said he was willing to fund one million courses of hydroxychloroquine to possibly prevent infections, or reduce the severity of illness.
Mr Palmer promised to fund the manufacture or acquisition of the courses.
